Alameda County firefighters were able to contain a San
Lorenzo house fire to the attic late this Thursday afternoon.

Crews Put Out Fire in San Lorenzo
The one-alarm fire in the 1800 block of Via Toyon was
reported at 3:36 p.m., according to Battalion Chief Chuck Palmer.
Crews found light smoke coming from the roof, and located a
small fire in the attic.
It took 15 minutes to control the fire. Firefighters are
currently tearing out sheet rock and checking for hidden fires in the home’s
insulation.
The home’s roof was undamaged, said Palmer.
The cause of the fire is still under the investigation.
Firefighters are trying to find the home’s residents.
No injuries were reported.
