Floor insulations is important when considering the comfort of your home. Often times, the temperature of the room is right, but the floor is too cool, especially in the mornings. Floor insulation will help solve this problem.
- The floor above your garage will always need insulation because garages aren’t typically insulated themselves. Cellulose is the best option to install on the roof of the garage to insulate the floor above.
- The floor above your basement will need to be insulated if your basement itself isn’t insulated. This can be done with either all spray foam, or a rigid foam board with spray foam to fill any gaps.
- Flooring above any crawl spaces also should be insulated. For the most effective option, choose to seal and insulate the entire crawl space. This will help with keep mold out of the crawlspace as well as insulate the floor above.
